Shrine Hall of Fame Members:
The Shrine Sports HOF is set to take on a new look and a new role in its home at the Shrine Fieldhouse. A sleek new design and freshened up individual plaques that bear your names will be installed this fall. As some of you may know, a water leak several years ago damaged the HOF display area and many of the plaques. Now the plaques are being restored and the display area is being beautifully refurbished including a new name: The Father Prus Hall of Fame, yes, our beloved Father Edward Prus.
Above are the two design drawings of what the HOF display will look like. Not only will this beautiful display honor your accomplishments, it will also function as a place where our students and their parents from Grades 1-8 can browse and learn about the great tradition of Shrine High sports and set their sights on being on that HOF Wall someday. This is part of a plan to fortify our efforts to retain more of our young 8th Grade athletes and get them enrolled at Shrine.
The cost of this project is $38,000. Shrine has committed $18,000 and I am asking you to help me raise the other $20,000. Any amount will help, but I am asking for minimum amount of $150 each. We know what a tremendous group of men and women make up our Father Prus Hall of Fame and we are confident you will support this effort to make our HOF both a beautiful display and an effective recruiting tool.
