For more than 50 years, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development has been supporting low-income communities as they address root causes of poverty and injustice through community organizing, leadership training, and economic development. CCHD works to break the cycle of poverty by awarding grants, educating about the root causes of poverty, and building bridges of solidarity in Cook and Lake Counties.
Our annual collection takes place the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This year our collection will be on November 23-24. It is the primary source of funds for grants to support community-controlled, self-help organizations and transformative education efforts.
Your partnership and participation help further the work of the Gospel of peace and justice. Thank you for your support!
