The Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS) is responsible for providing teh full range of pastoral ministries available in all other U.S. diocese to those serving in teh United States Armed Services, enrolled in teh U.S. Military Acadamies, undergoing treatment at any of the 153 Department of Veterans Affair Medical Centers, working in civilian jobs for the federal government beyond U.S. borders, and for the families of these populations.  The AMS receives no funding from teh U.S. Government or the U.S. Military, has no parishes for a weekly in-pew collection, and must rely principally on private donations to fund an annual operating budget of over $8.2 million.
